A wealthy but greedy business man was on his death bed surrounded by his entire family, who were listening eagerly to his last wishes. After he had spoken to the entire family, he called his wife aside and spoke softly into her ear saying, 'dear wife, when I die I want you to keep the chest of gold coins that I inherited from my father in the attic, so that I can take it to heaven and will be able to live a content life.' Like any wife, she promised to obey.
After he had been buried, she arranged for the chest to be kept in the attic. No one touched the chest. It just lay there. On seeing that the chest was not being taken by her husband, she thought to herself and finally said, 'Aha,my husband is such a fool. I knew that he would never make it to heaven, instead I should have kept it in the basement.'
